The story: The garnet stone, renowned for its deep, rich hues, derives its name from the Latin word “granatus,” meaning “seed-like,” referencing the gemstone’s resemblance to the seeds of a pomegranate. This connection highlights its ancient association with vitality and regeneration. Historically, garnets have been cherished since the Bronze Age, used by the Egyptians in jewelry and by the Romans as signet rings. The stone symbolizes protection, strength, and eternal friendship, often believed to possess healing properties and the power to promote passionate energy and creativity.
