The story: the name “American wedding ring”, which corresponds to a wedding ring whose ring is set with white stones, often diamonds, probably comes from the jeweler de Beers. Although he is South African, he popularized the wearing of wedding rings and diamond engagement rings in the United States in the 1940s. The first wedding rings set with white stones, especially diamonds, nevertheless appeared in Europe as early as the Middle Ages.
