The story: The name “American wedding ring”, which corresponds to a wedding ring whose ring is set with diamonds, probably comes from the jeweler de Beers. Although he is South African, he popularized the wearing of diamond wedding rings and engagement rings in the United States in the 1940s, especially with the slogan “A diamond is forever”. The first diamond wedding rings nevertheless appeared in Europe as early as the Middle Ages.
