The story: Associated with the sun, citrine is the stone of warmth that conveys joie de vivre and abundance. Indeed, the great civilizations of the Mediterranean basin began to use it as a decorative stone as early as 300 BC and believed that it carried within it the powers of the sun. In the 17th century, citrine seduced the crowned heads of Europe and Queen Victoria popularized this stone by wearing it on precious royal jewels, especially her tiaras.
