This sublime pair of 18-carat gold dangling earrings from the 70s consists of a stud made of a 0.1 carat brilliant-cut garnet in a bezel setting to which is attached a chain at the end of which is a 0.1 carat navette-cut garnet. The story: Garnet takes its name from the Latin “granatus”, which means “grain” or “seed”, in reference to the resemblance of the gem to pomegranate seeds.
