The story: The garnet stone, renowned for its deep, rich hues, takes its name from the Latin word “granatus,” which means “seed-like,” referring to the gemstone’s resemblance to the seeds of a pomegranate. This link highlights its ancient association with vitality and regeneration. Historically, garnets have been appreciated since the Bronze Age, used by the Egyptians in jewelry and by the Romans as signet rings. The stone symbolizes protection, strength, and eternal friendship, often believed to possess healing properties and the power to promote passionate energy and creativity.
