The story: Amethyst, with its shades of deep purple, is associated with the patron saint of lovers, Saint Valentine of Terni. This is how it became the birthstone of the month of February. According to tradition, this gemstone symbolizes love and fidelity, making it a popular gift to celebrate affection and romantic bonds. In Greek mythology, it was associated with sobriety because its name comes from the Greek word “amethystos”, which means “not drunk”. That’s why it also embodies clarity of mind and spiritual protection, offering a deep and timeless meaning to the people who wear it.
