Description

Sublime Egyptian ring from the 50s in 18-carat gold featuring a simple band in the center of which the symbol of the Eye of Horus is chiseled in openworked gold, for a luminous effect that contrasts with the skin. The center of the eye is represented by a small blue enamel cabochon, bringing a vibrant touch to this symbolic and unisex piece to wear as a style signature.

The story: An iconic symbol of ancient Egypt, the Eye of Horus — also known as Udjat — is much more than just a decorative motif. Associated with the god Horus, he has its origin in the myth of his fight against Set, during which his eye was gouged out and then restored by the god Thoth. This reconstructed eye then became a powerful symbol of healing, protection and regeneration. Represented in the form of a stylized eye with distinctive graphic lines, the Oudjat embodies both divine vigilance and cosmic balance. Worn as an amulet, engraved on sarcophagi or integrated into jewelry, it was supposed to protect against evil, preserve health and ensure the integrity of the body and mind.
