This unique piece had a previous life in France.
The story: Sapphire takes its name from the ancient Greek “sappheiros,” meaning “blue stone.” For millennia, this gemstone has symbolized royalty, wisdom, and loyalty. Used in the jewelry of the pharaohs of Egypt and prized by European kings, sapphire was also believed to protect against negative energies and bring inner peace. One of the most famous sapphires is Princess Diana’s 12-karat sapphire, mounted on an engagement ring now worn by Kate Middleton. A symbol of loyalty and fidelity, the stone of the natives of September also has a hardness of 9 (out of 10) on the Mohs scale.
