The story: A symbolic stone with a deep blue hue sprinkled with golden highlights, lapis lazuli has been treasured in jewelry for over 6,000 years. Used since Antiquity by Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and Roman civilizations, it was regarded as a sacred stone representing power, wisdom, and protection. Its intense color, sometimes streaked with pyrite flecks reminiscent of a starry sky, has long been associated with truth, clarity of mind, and intuition. Lapis lazuli was also believed to encourage inner harmony and self-expression, making this mysterious and profound stone as meaningful as it is precious.
