The story: A precious stone with deep blue reflections, sapphire takes its name from the ancient Greek sappheiros, which means “blue stone”. A symbol of wisdom, loyalty, and truth, it was once worn by kings to attract divine protection and strengthen their power. In the Middle Ages, it was said to soothe the mind and protect against poisons. Associated with the month of September, sapphire is also nicknamed the “stone of fidelity”, because it is believed to strengthen love bonds and encourage sincerity in relationships. Its celestial color evokes inner peace and timeless elegance.
