Description
Sublime 18k gold ring from the 50s featuring a braiding pattern of two gold lines set with small brilliant-cut diamonds (20 in total). At the meeting of the two braided lines is set a magnificent brilliant-cut sapphire of a deep blue weighing 0.3 carats. An elegant and sophisticated piece, full of contrasts, where the contrast of yellow and white gold matches perfectly with the contrast of the blue of the sapphire and the white of the diamonds.

This unique piece had a previous life in France.
The story: The Greeks already knew about sapphire in 480 BC, which they imported from Sri Lanka, hence the fame of the “Ceylon Sapphires”. Since then, many cultures have adopted it, such as the Catholic Church, for whom the celestial color of sapphire represents a closeness to the kingdom of God. In Asia, Buddhists dedicate the stone to the gods, a guide in meditation and a bringer of peace and happiness.
