Imposing pendant from the 70s in 18-carat gold representing the lucky symbol of the Mano Figa cut in slightly pinkish transparent quartz. Held in place by a setting engraved with floral motis and a mobile bail in 18-carat gold, this pendant can be worn as a talisman around the neck, alone or layered with other pendants.

The story: The mano figa, literally “fig hand”, is an ancient talisman of Mediterranean origin whose traces can be found as early as Roman antiquity. Representing a closed hand whose thumb is slipped between the index and middle fingers, this symbolic gesture was traditionally used to divert the evil eye and ward off malevolent influences. Associated with abundance and good luck, mano figa was often made of coral, carnelian or ebony, materials that were themselves considered protective. Worn as a pendant or hung from doors and cradles, it was a powerful apotropaic amulet, intended to defend its wearer against envy, spells and the negative energies of everyday life.
