Sublime marquise ring from the XIXth century in 18 carat gold set with 3 oval-cut rubies from 0.3 to 0.5 carats and 22 brilliant-cut diamonds from 0.1 to 0.25 carats, of exceptional whiteness and VVSI1 purity. An absolutely remarkable exceptional piece, with diamonds of incredible fire and rubies of a deep red.

The Story: the Marquise ring is a type of oblong-shaped ring of French creation. It is characterized by a central gemstone haloed with smaller stones, most often diamonds. This unique and sophisticated ring was inspired by the Marquise de Pompadour, mistress of King Louis XV of France. According to legend, the king had a ring created inspired by Madame de Pompadour’s smile.
