The story:
Known as the stone of artists because it would stimulate creativity, carnelian is a variety of chalcedony with an exciting history. Recognizable by its translucent fire-orange color, the Egyptians called it “sunset”. The Romans widely used carnelian for the realization of seal rings because the hot wax does not adhere to this stone. This is how we find many rings set with a carnelian engraved with inscriptions dedicated to bring luck and protection to their owner.
