The story: This ring combines a multitude of symbols: the You and Me ring, the symbolism of the ruby and sapphire and of course, that of the snake. The first famous You and Me ring was the one given by Napoleon Bonaparte to Joséphine de Beauharnais in engagement. Since then, this ring design has been a classic engagement ring, symbolizing the two hearts ready to unite forever. Depending on the stones that are associated with each other, the symbolism of the ring can be personalized: here, the ruby, symbol of passion, unites with the sapphire, symbol of loyalty and wisdom. The snake is a highly symbolic animal in many cultures, and has been since ancient times. It was then associated with eternal youth but also with renewal, due to the perpetual moulting of the snake. In India and South Asia, it is associated with abundance and by extension, fertility.
