The story: Art Deco jewelry, which flourished in the 1920s and 1930s, is renowned for its bold geometric patterns, symmetrical designs, and luxurious use of colorful gemstones. Inspired by the modernist spirit of the time, jewelers incorporated vibrant stones like emeralds, sapphires, rubies, onyx, and coral to create striking contrasts. Cabochon and baguette cut stones were particularly prized, highlighting clean lines and bright colors. Art Deco creations often paired colored gemstones with platinum or white gold settings, accentuating their brilliance and refinement.
