Aquamarine

Belonging to the family of beryls like emerald, aquamarine takes its name from the Latin aqua and marina which literally means “sea water”. We then understand its reputation as a talisman, protector of sailors through the waves and storm and the name that is sometimes given to him: “Mermaids’ gem”.
It is also surely this ability to calm the waves that earned it to be traditionally considered the lovers’ stone, which strengthens communication in a couple in order to allow it to weather the storms.
