The story: Diamonds help us define the era of antique jewelry, as their size has evolved over time. From the rose-cut diamonds of the sixteenth century handcrafted to the old cut diamonds of the nineteenth century to the modern 57-facet brilliant-cut diamond for optimal light reflection, the diamond tells us about the age of the jewels, as well as their design and aesthetics.
