Gold and onyx pendant “Arlenn”

This new TransfÓ or transformation signed ÓNÍSÌ PARIS is an nineteenth-century scarf ring converted into a pendant with a mobile bail. The pendant consists of a round onyx plate centered with a silver flower where each of the petals is set with a diamond sparkle and the pistil is set with a fine pearl while a shimmering gold border brings light and contrast to the onyx. A unique piece where the contrast of yellow gold and black onyx is highlighted by the whiteness of the pearl.

The story: Very fashionable in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the scarf r ing is designed to hold and adjust scarves, ties and other fabrics tied around the neck. Initially associated with masculine elegance, it quickly became a real jewel, made of gold and sometimes adorned with fine stones, engraved patterns or symbolic decorations. More practical than a pin, it allows the fabric to slide while bringing a precious touch to the outfit. This old scarf flower, now transformed into a pendant, thus finds a new function while retaining the character and refinement of this jewel once worn differently but always around the neck.
