The story: Peridot, a bright green gemstone, has its origins on Zabargad Island in the Red Sea, Egypt (St. John’s Island). The Egyptians called it “the stone of the sun” and considered it for its supposed protective powers against nightmares and enchantments. Symbolically, peridot represents strength and is believed to bring good luck, peace, and success to its wearer. It is also believed to have healing properties, especially in terms of the heart, bringing harmony and balance to relationships. Today, peridot remains prized for its vibrant green hues and rich cultural heritage spanning from ancient civilizations to modern gem enthusiasts.
