The story: A symbol of transformation, freedom and renewal, the dragonfly occupies a special place in Art Nouveau jewelry, an artistic movement that reached its peak between 1895 and 1905. Fascinated by nature and its organic shapes, the jewelers of this era drew their inspiration from insects, flowers and fantastic creatures. With its delicate, translucent wings, slender body and changing reflections, the dragonfly became one of the emblematic motifs of the movement, particularly through the creations of René Lalique. Associated with metamorphosis and lightness, it also embodies the ephemeral beauty of nature and the passage of time. Today, antique jewelry depicting dragonflies remains particularly sought after, appreciated for its poetry, finesse and symbolism of freedom and transformation.
