Magnificent pair of earrings from the early twentieth century, sleeper style, in 18 carat gold and white sapphires. The earrings are made up of two parts, a 0.1-carat white sapphire in a prong setting to which a second 0.25-carat white sapphire is attached on a tassel, moving with each movement. A classic and sophisticated piece that catches the light phenomenally.

Eagle head hallmarks.
This unique piece had a previous life in France.
The Story: In the 19th century, most women owned a small pair of earrings called sleepers because they could be worn to bed without risk of damage. This pair features the aesthetic of the sleeper style but features a clamshell clasp that closes at the back of the ear and not at the front, as is typically the case with sleepers.
