The story: Belonging to the large family of chalcedony, of which agates are a part, chalcedony has been appreciated in jewelry since Antiquity for the softness of its colors and its silky translucency. It comes in a subtle palette of colors — from milky white to pale blue, from soft pink to delicate light green undertones. These chromatic variations make it associated with harmony, emotional balance and creativity. Already prized by ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians and Romans, chalcedony was renowned for its soothing properties: it is said to have promoted inner peace, serenity and gentle communication, making it a stone that is as symbolic as it is precious.
