Sublime Art Deco ring in 18k gold set with 16 brilliant-cut diamonds of 0.01 carats and 23 square-cut sapphires of a deep blue of approximately 0.05 carats. A piece of character, full of contrasts, where the blue and white of the diamonds’ sapphires are combined in harmony with the warmth of the yellow gold.

The story: Taking its name from the 1925 World’s Fair titled “International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts,” the Art Deco movement is characterized by its geometric designs reminiscent of industry (no screws, nuts, gears). White gold, platinum, chromium and silver are also characteristic of the period, during which yellow gold, previously highly prized by jewellers, was substituted for these “white” materials, more so in the industrial aesthetics of the movement.
