The Story: the “Bonaparte” era jewelry is jewelry from the end of the nineteenth century characterized by the recurrence of certain distinctive motifs: yellow and rose gold, the chiseling of gold in scrolls or arabesques, the engraving of plant motifs and fine pearls. Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, was particularly fond of them and can be found in many jewellery of the time, including pendants, medallions, rings and sleeper earrings.
