The Story: A traditional emblem of the Vendée, the Double Coeur Vendéen appeared in the eighteenth century before experiencing a real boom in the nineteenth century. Composed of two intertwined hearts, often surmounted by a cross or a flame, it symbolizes the inseparable union of human love and the Christian faith. Offered on the occasion of a wedding, engagement or family event, it embodied fidelity, protection and the lasting attachment between two beings. Initially worn as a regional jewel, the Double Coeur Vendéen has now become an emblematic motif of French heritage, appreciated as much for its strong symbolic scope as for the timeless elegance of its design.
