Description

Sublime 19th century ring in 18-carat gold in the Toi et Moi style featuring a ring formed by two intersecting lines to entwin 2 old-cut diamonds of 0.08 carats in a prong setting on white gold. The two lines highlighting these diamonds are themselves set with 0.01 carat rose-cut diamonds in rail setting. A piece of finesse where the white gold sublimates the sparkle of the diamonds and contrasts with the warmth of the yellow gold of the ring.

The story: The “You and Me” motif is a great classic of jewelry, appearing at the end of the eighteenth century. Characterized by two stones or motifs joined together on the same piece of jewelry, it symbolizes the union of two beings while celebrating their individuality. Its popularity was boosted when Napoleon Bonaparte gave a “You and Me” ring to Josephine when they got engaged in 1796. Since then, this timeless design has remained one of the most beautiful symbols of love, complicity and commitment.
