The story: Art Deco jewelry is easily recognized by its geometric and perfectly symmetrical shapes. Here, the “target” design lends itself perfectly to this harmony and perfect balance, with the diamond halo, the mother-of-pearl rim and the central ruby forming concentric circles. Although white metals were favoured by jewellers during the Art Deco movement, yellow gold was not completely forgotten, as shown by this piece whose warmth of yellow gold reinforces the contrast with the white of diamonds and mother-of-pearl.
