This superb Claddagh ring in 9 carat gold from the early twentieth century presents the classic attributes of this type of ring with some additional details: a garnet heart haloed with natural brilliant-cut zircons. This typically Irish jewel which is originally in sterling silver is thus sublimated in this version in yellow gold set with fine stones. Breathtakingly beautiful, it will be suitable as a gift for a loved one as well as for oneself.

The story: The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring dating back to the XVII. It symbolizes love (the heart), loyalty (the crown) and friendship (the hands). This ring design originated in the small fishing village of Claddagh, located near the city of Galway in Ireland. The design of the ring features two hands holding a heart, with a crown on top of the heart. Those whose heart is taken will wear it with the heart facing the body while those whose heart is for the taking will wear the ring with the heart facing outward.
