Description

Sublime necklace formed of lapis lazuli beads and 18 carat gold beads. A magnificent jewel where the subtle shades of deep blue are enhanced by the gold speckles in the stone and the shiny gold pearls. The necklace is secured by an 18 carat gold clasp.

The story: In ancient Egypt, Lapis Lazuli symbolized divine power and life force. Its deep blue color speckled with gold was associated with immortality and infinity. The sarcophagi of the pharaohs of Lapis Lazuli were decorated, and amulets were placed in this stone to protect them, in the shape of a scarab or an eye of Horus.
