Description

Sublime tank ring from the 40s in 18-carat yellow gold with a trilogy-style design with its 3 diamonds: a modern brilliant-cut central diamond (probably replaced later) of 0.02 carats and two rose-cut diamonds of approximately 0.15 carats in white gold. Marked by straight, shimmering shoulders, the central motif is on a chiseled gold bridge bezel. A piece full of character and curves.

The story: Emblematic of the 40s, tank rings owe their origin to the troubled period that Europe was going through at the time. Gold is a material that is increasingly rare and coveted, as are precious stones, which are almost disappearing from the market. You then melt down your gold possessions, a safe haven, in the form of a ring that is easy to carry with you. Tank rings offer heavy and imposing shapes and their patterns are reminiscent of tank tracks. This ring, with its rounded shapes, offers a clever mix of the art deco style and the tank ring.
